Kolasin is a picturesque town nestled in the greenery of Montenegro’s mountains, known for its cozy atmosphere and stunning natural landscapes. This place not only attracts outdoor enthusiasts, whether it’s mountain hiking, ski resorts, or adventure tours, but is also a true hidden gem for food lovers seeking to indulge in the flavors of Montenegro and international cuisine.

The town itself has a unique charm, which blends perfectly with its high-quality restaurants offering a variety of dishes. In Kolasin, you can find both traditional Montenegrin restaurants with homemade meals and establishments offering international cuisine. It’s the perfect place to explore local tastes, enjoy fresh produce, and discover traditional recipes passed down through generations.

It’s worth noting that the restaurant selection in Kolasin, as in other mountain resorts in Montenegro, is somewhat limited due to the seasonal nature of the resort. Most establishments open during the high season, when the town fills with tourists, and close during the winter months when the flow of guests significantly decreases. However, this doesn’t detract from the appeal of local restaurants; rather, it adds to their uniqueness. During the summer months, these places offer not only excellent dishes but also an unforgettable atmosphere of mountain relaxation, fresh air, and breathtaking views. If you’re planning a trip to Kolasin, be sure to visit these spots to not only enjoy nature but also to explore the finest gastronomic corners of this amazing region.

We visited the restaurant after skiing. The atmosphere was nice, and there’s a great outdoor playground for kids. There’s also a fireplace that the staff tried to light, but unfortunately, they couldn’t get it going. Overall, it has a pleasant vibe.

The food was delicious, filling, and reasonably priced. You can also order delivery to your hotel. A special thank you to the staff—attentive and caring.

We spent a long time deciding where to have lunch based on reviews. We chose Amanet and were very happy with our decision. We ate so much that we had the same meal at home for two more days. Huge portions, even by Montenegrin standards. Service was quick and professional, with the owner constantly overseeing the staff. I highly recommend it!

«The pickled cabbage is just like home, and the national dish of potatoes with cheese is absolutely divine! The menu is small and the restaurant only has six tables, but everything is delicious. Many say the Kachamak here is the best! We stopped by while driving through the mountains of Montenegro. The service was quick, and the prices are very reasonable. We had Kachamak, braised veal, and two shopska salads. We had a great time!»

«The Kachamak was incredibly tasty. We had it at another restaurant, but we didn’t like it there. Here, we ate it and even had second helpings. We were staying just around the corner and decided to drop by for lunch. I had heard about the local dish, «kacamak,» and was eager to try it. While the chicken might not have been the best in Montenegro, the kacamak was definitely worth trying here. The restaurant’s interior is also noteworthy.

It’s a traditional village-style tavern with corresponding national cuisine. The lamb «spod saca» was particularly delicious, and a glass of pear brandy complemented it perfectly.
